I have a great job as a partner in a consulting firm and married a wonderful woman who keeps me deeply engaged in the art of living. About eight years ago, we thought it would be fun to start a business together. The dot-com thing was huge and we thought that we had found a nice little niche where a mom&pop team could build something that would allow us some income and the time necessary to raise a soon to be growing family. We chose to enter the children's bedding business with a catalog called the Warm Biscuit Bedding Co.

Here we are many years down the road and still working to figure it out. As a business consultant, I've certainly worked on bigger problems for my corporate clients, but there is something about committing your own sweat and capital to make what you think are small problem loom large. I'll be writing about the difficult business issues we have faced, and still face today and hope that you will join us as we continue this journey.
